Patrícia Piedade

Biography

Patricia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon and is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Computing Science and Engineering specializing in Interaction and Visualization from the same institution.
She is developing her Masters Thesis at the Interactive Technologies Institute under the supervision of Hugo Nicolau (ITI) and Rui Prada (INESC). Her work focuses on promoting inclusion in neurodiverse primary school classrooms, that is those including neurodivergent and neurotypical children. To achieve this she is conducting a co-design process to develop a tangible game utilizing a comercial robot, the Ozobot. She also collaborates with other ITI researchers within the Inclusive Computing field working towards the creation of meaningful technologies with an for minority groups.
